There's no official VALORANT Episode 7 Act I release date yet, but based on when the battle pass is set to end, we can guess that it will debut on June 27, 2023

This will also be a Tuesday, which is typically when Riot introduce updates to its games. It's worth mentioning that this is also expected to be the date that the latest VALORANT Night Market will end.

VALORANT Episode 7 Act I Team Deathmatch

One of the big confirmations for VALORANT Episode 7 Act I, is the introduction of the long-awaited Team Deathmatch mode.

In a video posted to the VALORANT Twitter, game director Andy Ho confirmed the mode would be released with the episode, while also revealing a little more about it.

"It'll be a fast-paced mode featuring tactical gunplay," Ho claimed, "with weapons across the arsenal, agents, and their abilities, and new maps built specifically for the mode."

VALORANT Episode 7 Act I progression changes

In the same video we mentioned above, Ho said there will be some big progression changes coming in Episode 7.

For starters, players will have the chance to unlock accessories from previous battle passes they missed, and the means of unlocking agents and contract items will be altered.

We don't know how these changes will manifest in the full VALORANT Episode 7 Act 1 release, but we would assume they'll make it easier for players to unlock new agents.

The Tweet embedded above contains some leaks about how this system will work, but it's worth taking it with a grain of salt, as everything is subject to change prior to release.

VALORANT Episode 7 Act I battle pass

Of course, with a new Episode and Act comes a new VALORANT battle pass. There's no information on the unlocks coming in the next battle pass, but we'd expect it to contain three skins lines, and various cards, gun buddies, and sprays, much like previous passes.

That's all for our breakdown of VALORANT Episode 7 Act I, and now you know the expected release date, and that the Team Deathmatch mode and progression changes are coming.
