Getting a Nuke is the biggest achievement in Warzone 2 and also serves as the mark of a quality player. Warzone 2 makes a few big changes to the battle royale formula that was popularised in the original, and one of the biggest new additions is the nuclear bomb which can be used to end a game.
The majority of players will never be able to use a nuke, as it's of the biggest challenges, and much like in the classic Modern Warfare 2 game, they allow you to end the game instantly, securing the win in a fiery, radioactive blaze - so here's what you need to do.
How can you get a Nuke?
There are several steps you need to take to call in and use a Nuke in Warzone 2, with the biggest hurdle being the very first step:
- Win five games of Warzone 2 in a row.
- Start the Champion's Quest contract.
- Find the three elements for making a Nuke.
- Wait for a bomb site to appear on the map and make your way there.
- Arm the bomb with the three elements.
- Defend the bomb for two minutes.
Once the two-minute timer hits 0, the bomb will explode and the game will end, securing you and your team the victory.
The original Warzone was also set to feature a nuke until it was cut sometime during development. Back during launch, leakers and data miners also found strings in the game's files which pointed toward its existence, but it looks like Activision recycled this concept for the sequel.
