How to get to the Academy in The Rogue Prince of Persia

There are many secrets to be found in the Academy, yet actually reaching the area can prove rather difficult in The Rogue Prince of Persia.

As your path in-game is technically non-linear, traversing the Academy not only unlocks new secrets but also gives you alternate, perhaps preferable paths to the final destination.

Where is the Academy?

You can enter the Academy through Zagros Village - although it is one of two different exit points that you can find. Typically I seemed to locate this particular exit in the lower sections, whereas you'd head above if the Aqueduct was where you wanted to travel to.

There is thankfully a Well of Dreams right nearby, allowing you to travel back through the level and claim everything that you might have missed. This can be handy as I typically went straight in search of the Academy exit when I wanted to go there, meaning that I missed a fair chunk of content in Zagros Village.

What is after the Academy?

Once you've finished the Academy you'll be able to go to the Outer Ramparts, which is where you'll fight General Berude, the Unstoppable, and attempt to take down the first true boss.

This is the same outcome as the Aqueduct, meaning you're not 'missing out' on anything progression-wise by going either way. However, I'd say that the Academy is a tougher area, and there are greater treasures to be found here as a consequence.

If you're feeling up to the task I'd recommend heading this way, as I found stronger Medallions and better weapons in my experience, which made me more prepared for the steep challenge that Berude presents.
