Best THE FINALS graphics settings for FPS & visual quality
THE FINALS is a fast-paced shooter at heart, and you’ll need to choose the right graphics settings for the highest FPS possible if you’re looking to come out on top in most gunfights. The trouble with this is that the game is a stunner, providing a visual quality that’s usually reserved for single-player epics.
The trick to choosing the right graphics settings is finding the balance between getting a high frame rate without the quality of the visuals deteriorating too much. After all, you still need to see the enemies you’re shooting at clearly, right?
Best graphic settings for THE FINALS
I’ve done a bit of experimentation and reckon that the following are the best graphics settings for THE FINALS:

You can change these options by pressing pause on the main menu screen, navigating to 'Settings', and then moving along to the 'Video' tab.
The above settings should achieve a sharp and uncluttered image, allowing you to pick out enemies at further distances. Leaving the View Distance setting at Medium while reducing Effects and Post-Processing to Low will help this massively.
It’s personal preference, but turning off Motion Blur and Lens Distortion is likely a good shout, too. I found that leaving a few settings at Medium was ideal for our setup, as lowering them didn’t provide that much of a boost to fps, but largely degraded the image.
When it comes to NVIDIA’s dedicated technology, I recommend disabling Ray Tracing altogether. Sure, it looks gorgeous - especially with the constantly changing environments. However, it hits the frame rate hard, and as such isn’t worth leaving enabled.
Enabling DLSS is a must for this stunning title, and I found that leaving it in the Balanced setting is the best one for my setup. This added quite a few frames to my average and didn’t blur out the image a great deal.
How we tested for the best graphics settings
Click to enlargeI tested these graphics settings on my own PC, which is equipped with the following specs:
- Intel i9 10900K CPU
- 16GB 3200 MHz DDR4 RAM
- Nvidia RTX 3080
- Game is installed on an SSD
- 1440p native monitor resolution
Using the above graphics settings on my rig netted me a 99% average of 70 fps, tested across multiple matches and maps in THE FINALS. However, the frame rate mostly hovered between 80 and 90 fps in real-world testing, which felt extremely smooth to play when combined with the lower response time granted by the optimised settings.
If you’re running a PC rig that’s higher specced than mine, then you may wish to set your graphics settings a little higher to make the game look a little prettier.
Alternatively, if your PC has slightly lower specs than our testing rig, then feel free to knock some of those remaining settings down to low, or try setting DLSS to either Performance or Ultra Performance.
