It's been a long time since Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League was revealed to the world, and years on, with multiple delays under its belt, the game is finally creeping closer to what should be its official release date.

Fans are also very interested to see how Suicide Squad will tie into the Arkhamverse after the events of Batman: Arkham Knight. Here's everything we know about the Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League so far, covering the release date, trailers, platforms and its place in the Arkhamverse.

What is the Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League release date?

The Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League release date is set for February 2, 2024, placing at the start of a busy month for video games, as titles like Skull & Bones, Nightingale, and Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth are also set to launch.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League trailers

The Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League teaser trailer first premiered at DC FanDome in August 2020. The cinematic trailer gave fans a peek at the four characters who will be featuring in the game: Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, and King Shark.

In the trailer, the fierce four are bounding through the rooftops of Metropolis tasked with bringing down the 'Alpha Target', later revealed to be a Braniac-controlled Superman.

The reveal trailer didn't give us a look at any Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League gameplay, and that tradition continued with the recent "Ticking" story trailer. However, it did reveal some of the other heroes (brainwashed or otherwise) that will show up. Namely, we got a look at a cocky brainwashed Flash as well as a brief appearance from Green Lantern.

Interestingly, a not-so brainwashed Wonder Woman turned up to brawl with Superman, in what will undoubtedly be an epic showdown. We also get a brief look at what looked like an altered Batmobile, and the sinister Amanda Waller can be seen testing out one of those deadly bomb implants.

The game also received a trailer during the February 2023 PlayStation State of Play showcase, where we got an extended look at the gameplay, with it showcasing traversal, combat, and character switching between the core four.

Is Suicide Squad part of the Arkhamverse?

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will be a continuation of the Arkhamverse, according to Sefton Hill, Rocksteady's creative director. Hill revealed that Suicide Squad will continue the storyline from Rocksteady's previous DC games including, Batman: Arkham Knight, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League gameplay explained

During the 2020 DC FanDome, Hill revealed that it will be a one to four player co-op game set in an open-world Metropolis. Players can have the choice to play as one character throughout their whole playthrough or switch between them and use the various weapons and combat skills associated with each character. Suicide Squad will be a multiplayer game but for those wanting to game solo, AI will fill the roles of the rest of the squad.

All the characters utilise guns as their main weapons, though they each have special abilities that line up with their powers. There also looks to be a big focus on mobility and verticality, with Harley using grapple hooks, Deadshot using a jetpack, and Killer Shark having the super strength to seemingly jump entire buildings.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League platforms

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League won't be available to play on PS4 or Xbox One. But, it will be available to play on new-gen game consoles. This includes:

  • PS5
  • Xbox Series X/S
  • PC

That's all for our coverage of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League and all the information we currently know about the upcoming game.
