Many players looking into Suicide Squad will want to know if the game can be played offline, as it's designed as a cooperative live service game, but you can still play solo if you choose.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is the latest game set in the Arkhamverse, following Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot, and Captain Boomerang as they are forced to fight against Brainiac's evil plot to corrupt superheroes.

It's much different from the previous Rocksteady DC games, especially due to the live service elements and end-game content that keeps things going well after you finish the story. So, check out if you can play the game while offline.

Can you play Suicide Squad offline?

In short, you cannot play Suicide Squad offline as it's an online only experience. Even when playing solo, you'll still need to maintain an internet connection, otherwise you will get an error message and be kicked from the server.

This has already caused some fury amongst players, as many have been kicked from the game when their internet slows down or drops for a second.

This also means Rocksteady can control when the game is playable, as during the early access it had to shut down the servers to fix a bug that saw people instantly complete the game after logging in.

Will Suicide Squad get an offline mode?

According to the FAQ on the Suicide Squad website, an offline story mode will be added to the game sometime in 2024, allowing people to play without an internet connection.

We'll update this guide as we learn more about this mode and its launch date.

Check out our Suicide Squad homepage for more guides. We've also covered how to change characters, the DLC roadmap, and the current Twitch drops.
