You will want to know how to visit your parents in Starfield if you picked the Kid Stuff trait, as it makes them characters in the game and gives you some useful bonuses to take advantage of.

The traits in Starfield are optional features you can pick in character creation that give you some benefits with a tradeoff. Kid Stuff is one of those that adds your parents to the game, but forces you to give them 2% of your credits every in-game week.

If you can afford the cost and know how to make money consistently with jobs or smuggling contraband, it's a good trait to choose. So, check out how to visit your parents in Starfield.

How do you visit your parents in Starfield?

To visit your parents in Starfield, you will need to complete The Old Neighbourhood and One Small Step quests, and then head to their apartment at Pioneer Tower in the city of New Atlantis

Once the missions mentioned above are finished, you will get an Activity notification asking you to meet them. This will mark the location on the map making it easy to find, but if you need specific directions, you can find Pioneer Tower in the Residential District of New Atlantis.

Ignoring this notification will cause your parents to send a concerned note to Constellation, and they will eventually visit their HQ to find you - so there's no avoiding them really.

Once you do visit them, you will start to see the bonuses of the Starfield Kid Stuff trait. Firstly, you can get an item called the High School Backpack which gives you extra carrying capacity, and your father will teach you Grandma's Meatloaf recipe to make at cooking stations.

As you continue to visit them, they will surprise you with gifts, such as new gear to use on your journey, and you can even run into them when adventuring in certain places.

How to remove the Kid Stuff trait in Starfield

If you are heartless and tired of spending 2% of your credits on them weekly, you can remove the Kid Stuff trait in Starfield by talking to your father and letting him know you can't afford to keep sending them money
