Satisfaction points in The Sims 4 are rewarded by completing Wants and Fears or by achieving milestones in a Sim's chosen Aspiration.

These points can yield some nifty rewards in the game, including items like a money tree, boosts to skills, and the Potion of Youth to age down your Sim - so here's what you need to know about using the satisfaction points cheat.

Getting started with cheats

To enable the use of cheats in The Sims 4, you'll need to bring up the cheat box in the top left of the screen and type 'testingcheats true' into the window that appears (without the single quotations). If you're unsure how to do that, bring up the box by doing the following:

  • For PC users, press CTRL + Shift + C
  • If you're on Mac, it's Command + Shift + C
  • For console players, press all four triggers on your controller

Once that's done, a box that looks just like the one in the below image will appear:

Cheating satisfaction points

After typing the 'testingcheats true' command into the cheat box and pressing enter, you can then input the following code: 'sims.give_satisfaction_points x'

To get it to work correctly, though, you'll want to replace the 'x' with a number reflective of the amount of points you want to magically bestow upon your Sim. For example, if you're looking for 2,000 points, you would type 'sims.give_satisfaction_points 2000'.

What's on offer in the reward store?

Now you have an unlimited supply of satisfaction points, you can get some powerful rewards from the rewards store. These include moodlet solvers which raise all your Sim's moodlets or individual ones. There are also options to change the body shape of your Sim or how fast they can complete certain tasks.

The most expensive items from the rewards store are mostly traits, which I've listed below:

Reward Cost (in points) Description
Forever Fresh 8,000 A Sim's Hygiene doesn't decay
Forever Full 10,000 The hunger need doesn't decay
Hardly Hungry 4,000 Hunger decays 50% slower for a Sim
Money Tree 5,000 Gives a Sim a money tree seed that can then be planted
Needs No One 5,000 A Sim's social need never decays
Never Weary 10,000 Energy doesn't decay for a Sim
Professional Slacker 4,000 A Sim with this will never get demoted or fired
Re-Traiting Potion 5,000 Have a Sim drink this to change their traits
Savant 4,000 Skills are gained 25% faster
Seldom Sleepy 4,000 Energy decreases 50% slower than normal
Super Green Thumb 4,000 Adds lots of benefits for Sims when interacting with plants

Traits such as the Professional Slacker can be immensely useful if you're tired of your Sim coming home from work in a tense mood. It can allow your Sims to slack off at work without the fear of ever being demoted or fired.

Super Green Thumb can be a great time saver if you're focusing on a gardening or Rags-to-Riches Challenge that utilises farming to make Simoleons, as the perk decreases the likelihood of weeds and bugs on plants.
