If you’re as excited for Resident Evil 4 Remake as we are, then you must have already jumped into the Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw demo. However, you may also be wondering if your save data from the Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw demo will transfer to the full game when it launches later this month.

The Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw demo takes place towards the start of the game, letting players fight off against several enemies in a claustrophobic village section of gameplay.

Unlike Resident Evil demos of the past, there is no time limit for players to contend with this time around. This means that players are able to spend as much time exploring as they like.

However, there is a definitive end to the Chainsaw demo. It leaves us on a tantalising cliffhanger as we eagerly await to play the full game when it launches on March 24.

While it would surely be helpful for players to keep all the items, weapons, and ammunition that they collect in the Resident Evil 4 demo, this sadly won’t be possible.

Progress in the Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw demo is limited to this brief gameplay experience only. There will be no way to transfer save files when the full game launches later this month.

While this may be frustrating for some players, they may be comforted to know that there is a secret game mode in the Chainsaw demo to tide them over until the game’s full release. Dubbed the ‘Mad Chainsaw Mode’, this offers players a more challenging way to replay the otherwise short demo.
