PUBG April Fool's Bizarre Battle Royale mode explained: Giant Chicken, dates & all we know

Over the last few years, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS has been adding new gameplay twists with every April Fool's Day. 2023 looks no different, with a Giant Chicken wreaking havoc in the popular battle royale, following in the huge footsteps of last year's Monster Chicken Royale.

Let's get into all there is to know about the PUBG April Fool's Bizarre Battle Royale mode.

PUBG players who've been fans of April Fool's Day events of the past will enjoy this "fresh and wild" experience the team has cooked up this year. Whilst April Fool's 2022 featured the kaiju-esque Monster Chicken Royale, the Bizarre Battle Royale mode aims to take things one step further in 2023.

Available now until 10 April, the Bizarre Battle Royale mode will allow players to battle amidst both monstrously giant chickens and zombies - each with their special abilities to make gameplay during the event feel extra unique and spicy. 

What's more, since this PUBG April Fool's mode is entirely on the Lone Survivor character's “dreams,” the Bizarre Battle Royale mode will also let you collect rewards too. 

During this April Fool's experience, players can collect OP coins from zombies, unlucky players, or the giant chickens to buy temporary OP items for special powers of their own. These will include increased HP, invulnerability, the ability to see enemies on the map, and more. 

The April Fool's event will follow the PUBG Battle Royale standard where the last team standing wins. However, the top 3 teams will also earn additional OP coins for future matches. 

For even more April Fool's Bizarre Battle Royale fun, the PUBG team have also prepared events to players can enjoy the mode even more up to 10 April. These will even include one where players can earn not only a Bizarre Survivor Emblem, but Hunter's Chests and Keys as well.
