Time Crystals are the main currency that allows you to purchase items in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, so it's worth learning the different ways to get more of them and fill up your pockets.

The latest Prince of Persia takes the series in a different direction with 2.5D metroidvania gameplay, allowing new protagonist Sargon to explore a semi-open world. Along the way, you'll collect a lot of stuff, ranging from upgrade items like Azure Damascus Ingots, to quest items like Spirited Sand Jars, and currency like Time Crystals.

If you want to ensure you've always got enough money for new items or weapon and amulet upgrades, check out how to get Time Crystals quickly below.

While you'll naturally get a lot of Time Crystals by just playing The Lost Crown, there are some specific things you can do to ensure you get more and constantly have a big supply of the stuff.

We'll outline some of the best methods to quickly get Time Crystals below:

Farm enemies

Defeating an enemy in game doesn't mean they stay dead, and after saving at a Wak Wak Tree or leaving and returning to an area, many enemies will respawn.

This is useful, as enemies always drop the same amount of Time Crystals when killed, so you can farm them over and over to earn more. This is a slow method, especially if you're just focusing on easier enemies, but it's the most consistent.

Tutorial challenges

In The Haven, you can speak to fellow Immortal Artaban, to take part in challenges or train freely to practice moves you've learnt.

The challenges teach you key combat mechanics and moves, and completing one of these for the first time can net you anywhere from 50 to 100 Time Crystals

This allows you to get several hundred extra crystals, all for the cost of getting better at the game. Make sure you return to Artaban whenever you unlock a new weapon or power, as it also opens up more challenges.

Exploration

The obvious answer for getting more Time Crystals in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is to explore everywhere and everything, leaving no stone unturned.

Chests allow you to get tonnes of crystals, and you'll frequently come across large crystal formations that can be destroyed for more of the currency.

Some collectibles also reward Time Crystals, such as the Spirited Sand Jars. However, you will need to interact with the Fresco to the east of The Haven after collecting them to get your reward.

If you're diligent about finding every nook and cranny in the game, then you should have no trouble getting lots of Time Crystals.
