Mythic Skins are the best of the best in Overwatch 2, letting players adorn their main characters with the finest costumes in the game.

Season 10 is here, bringing the Mythic Shop and with it, new ways to acquire your favourite Mythic Skins from seasons gone by. For a full rundown of how this all works, here's what you need to know.

What are Mythic Skins?

Like Legendary Skins, Mythic Skins in Overwatch 2 completely revamp a Hero's look, but they're also fully customisable. Owning a Mythic Skin means you can pick and choose from a wide selection of customization options to design your ideal outfit and stand out as one-of-a-kind.

How are Mythic Skins unlocked?

Starting in Season 10, Mythic skins are purchased in the Mythic Shop with Mythic Prisms. They can be acquired through the Premium Battle Pass, and doing so will take roughly the same amount of effort as the old system. Prisms can also be purchased directly from the store.

Each season, there's a new Mythic skin added to the game. This season, that skin is Mercy's Vengeance Never Dies. Previously, the only Mythic skin you could acquire in a season was the currently active one. Now with the new Mythic Shop, you can choose to acquire the current skin or any previous skin that is at least two seasons old.

Right now in Season 10, you can acquire the new Mercy Mythic skin, or any of the ones from seasons 1 to 7. Next season, the current Mercy skin will disappear from the store, but in its place, the skin from season 8 will be added.

This means that if you miss out on the Vengeance Never Dies skin this season, you'll have to wait until season 13 for it to become permanently available in the shop.

How much do they cost?

The base version of each of Overwatch 2's Mythic Skins costs 50 Mythic Prisms, and each of the three upgrades costs a further 10. You can get 80 Prisms from the Premium Battle Pass, making it a viable way to get the latest skin and each of the upgrades. However, you can now choose where those Prisms are spent, so you can use them to acquire previous skins that you might have missed.

If you want to get more than one Mythic skin in a season, you'll have to purchase Mythic Prisms from the store. The prices for Mythic Prisms are as follows:

Mythic Prisms Price (in USD)
10 $9.99
50 $39.99
100 $79.99

To customise a Mythic Skin in Overwatch 2, visit the Hero Gallery and select the Hero whose Mythic Skin you wish to tinker with. Next, browse their list of Skins until you locate the Mythic Skin you're searching for.

Mythic Skins feature a variety of different customisable aspects. For example, with the Cyber Demon Genji Skin, you can edit its weapon, tattoo, mask, and colour. You'll have a few distinct options to choose from in each category, and you can mix and match freely as you'd like. If you want to roll the dice, you can choose to generate a randomised getup too.

When you're happy with how your Mythic Skin looks, all you then need to do is press 'Save' to store your chosen design.
