When does Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG end?

The original Fortnite map is back after years of waiting, but it won't be around for long as the Chapter 4 Season OG end date is already fast approaching.

Epic Games' hit battle royale Fortnite has always kept things fresh with new features like Reality Augments and Exotic Weapons, but for many fans, all they really wanted was a return to the old map from Chapter 1.

Now it's finally happened with Fortnite OG, which brings back nostalgic locations like Tilted Towers and Paradise Palms. The bad news is that this is a much shorter season than usual, with the end date in sight.

When does the Fortnite OG season end?

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG is scheduled to end on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 7 PM GMT.

This is when The Big Bang live event kicks off and the OG map disappears for good, so you've only got a short time to make the most of this season and complete the Battle Pass. After that, it should be business as usual with the arrival of Chapter 5 and the return of full-length seasons.

Of course, there's always a chance that Epic Games will bring the OG map back again at some point in the future, but if that does happen, it probably won't be for a very long time - especially as it took years for it to return this time around!

While it's disappointing that the OG map will only be around for a month, Epic Games has promised that this will be a "time-travelling, turbo-speed" season with lots of updates adding more nostalgic content throughout.

An update is scheduled for every Thursday this season, with map changes and unvaulted weapons reflecting the journey from Chapter 1: Season 5 to Chapter 1: Season X. You can read more about those updates here.

What do we know about Fortnite Chapter 5?

Based on the finale event name, The Big Bang, it seems safe to assume that Chapter 5 will shake things up quite significantly in the Fortnite universe. As with every other chapter, there will likely be a new map, new weapons, and a new Battle Pass to unlock.

It's also been teased that a huge LEGO collaboration will arrive with the new chapter, suggesting that the iconic building blocks will play a big part in the battle royale's future. LEGO video games are great, so I'm hoping that magic gets translated into Fortnite.

Other than that, not much is known about Chapter 5 at the moment. The devs at Epic Games are keeping their cards close to their chests as usual, so we'll just have to wait for the new chapter to launch on December 3, 2023, to see what's in store.
