Nintendo Switch Sports secrets add a surprising amount of depth to the latest Wii Sports game. On the surface, it may just seem like a game where you can wildly swing around a Joy-Con while playing Nintendo Switch Sports tennis. However, there is more to this game than many players might initially guess. Here are some of the Nintendo Switch Sports secrets that players should keep an eye out for in order to enhance their gameplay experience.

Nintendo Switch Sports Secrets: Credits Minigame

By pressing the “Options” button on the main menu, then scrolling down to and clicking on “Staff Credits,” players will get to view the rolling credits highlighting all the people who worked on Nintendo Switch Sports. While the credits scroll typically isn’t one of the more exciting parts of a game, this particular scene actually holds one of the most notable Nintendo Switch Sports secrets.

Once the credits begin, players will notice their character standing in the right corner, whether that be their Sportsmate, Mii, or Nintendo Switch Sports squirrel. The character will be holding a tennis racket, which players can swing in order to launch a ball at an invisible wall just in front of the names in the credits sequence.

Just above the character’s head, there is a counter that keeps track of how many successful rallies the player can get in a row. To maintain a rally, the player needs to continually time their swings such that they hit the ball when it bounces back to them without it going past their character.

Since the player is only competing with themselves by hitting the ball against a wall, they won’t need to incorporate the same kinds of strategic hits they might use in an actual match. Rather, they just need to time their swings correctly to prevent the rally from ending.

If the player can get a rally of up to 50 points before the credits end, they will unlock a special title. Upon completing the credits minigame, players who have uncovered this Nintendo Switch Sports secret will receive the “Staffer” title. Once they have unlocked this title, players can then apply it to their character through the “Customization” menu.

Nintendo Switch Sports Secrets: How To Play Special Bowling Offline

Once the player has reached D rank or higher in the Nintendo Switch Sports Pro League, then they may begin to encounter Special Lanes in Nintendo Switch Sports bowling online matches. These random lanes will incorporate hazards, slopes, holes, and more, forcing players to use creative timing and aim to avoid various obstacles.

However, players do not need to merely hop online and hope they happen to encounter a Special Lane. Rather, players can access this mode and practice on it during offline play. They simply need to select bowling in local play mode and they will have the option to pick the type of Special Lane they want to play on before they start their match.

Conversely, players can play a regular match, after which they can click the “Change Match Settings” button in order to switch to a Special Lane. By knowing this Nintendo Switch Sports secret, players will be better equipped to deal with Special Lanes whenever they do show up in online play.

Nintendo Switch Sports Secrets: Soccer Celebrations

Another one of the Nintendo Switch Sports secrets allows players to flex on their opponents after scoring a goal in Nintendo Switch Sports soccer. After scoring a goal, the player’s character will automatically celebrate by lifting their arms. As a result, the player can simply have their character run around with their hands in the air.

But, players can also take this a step further by swinging both of their Joy-Con controllers downward, the same motion used to perform a diving header. If the player does this after scoring a goal, then their character will slide on their knees with their hands in the air.

Nintendo Switch Sports Secrets: How To Unlock The Multi-Sport Queue

When the player first starts to play Nintendo Switch Sports online, they can only wait in the queue for one sport at a time. This could lead to long wait times if there aren’t many other players trying to play the same sport. However, it is possible to unlock a multi-sport queue that can lead to shorter wait times.

To unlock the multi-sport queue, players simply need to try out three different sports for at least one match. Whether the player wins or loses does not matter. It seems the developers simply wanted to ensure that players had a little experience in multiple sports before giving them access to the multi-sport queue.

Once the player has tried out three different sports, they will then be able to pick three different sports when trying to find online matches. As a result, players will end up finding matches faster since they will start playing whichever sport enables them to most quickly queue into someone else.

Of course, players do not have to use the multi-sport queue if they are only interested in finding matches for one sport. Nevertheless, this is one of the Nintendo Switch Sports secrets that can lead to more play time for competitors who are interested in finding online matches in a number of different sports.

Nintendo Switch Sports Secrets: Becoming A Legend

There are a number of different titles players can unlock in Nintendo Switch Sports. Most of these are simply available in Nintendo Switch Sports unlockables item packs, meaning they generally aren’t as secretive as the Staffer title earned from the credits minigame.

However, the most prestigious and difficult to obtain title is without a doubt the “Legend” title. To become a Legend, players will have to reach A rank of the Pro League in every single sport in the game.

As a result, this title will become even more difficult to achieve over time, as new sports like golf will be added as downloadable content later on. While the Legend title is quite exclusive, it will undoubtedly be a badge of honor for any player who manages to master every single sport this game has to offer.
