Crossplay is a must-have feature for plenty of games now, and every NBA 2K24 fan will be wondering if it has been included this year, as well as cross-platform progression

NBA 2K24 is in its 24th year after first released in 1999. Since then, the series has gone on to grow and grow, now being recognised as the best Basketball game around.

Here is all you need to know about about crossplay and cross-platform progression in NBA 2K24.

Yes - for the first time, NBA 2K24 will support crossplay. This has been a feature many fans of the series have been begging for. This was confirmed on the NBA 2K24 website, deep in the FAQs - and it looks as though it will be available in every mode, too.

The only catch is that it is not available on all platforms the game will be released on. Crossplay will only be available on the current generation of consoles, so the Xbox Series X|S and the PS5. If you’re on the previous generation, Nintendo Switch or PC, you will not be able to access the feature.

NBA 2K24 will support cross-progression… sort of. The game will support cross-progression for the MyTEAM game mode, but only if you’re moving between generations of the same console. So your progress will be maintained if you upgrade from PS4 to PS5, but not if you were to switch platforms entirely. It also means it won't be included at all for PC and the Nintendo Switch.

That is everything there is to know about crossplay and cross-progression in NBA 2K24.
