Gizmo is the cutest little Mogwai going, but don't let his adorable face trick you into thinking he's a pushover, as with the right combos, moves, and specials he can be a menace in any MultiVersus match.

Gizmo moves list

Attack Ground Effect Air Effect
Standard Attack Hunter's Blow - Charge an arrow projectile that can ignite if fully charged. Flying Hunter's Bow - Same
Side Attack Mogwai 3-Step - A combo of punches, a headbutt, and a kick. Fist of Furry - Charge a forward hit.
Up Attack Pop Pop Pop! - Charge a popcorn projectile upwards, which can explode if ignited. Widdle Claws - Two swipes upward.
Down Attack Harsh Melody - Charge before slamming downward and breaking armour. After landing, projectiles will shoot out each side. Stompy Feet - Charge before stomping down three times.

Side Special Beep Beep! - Jump in a toy car and drive around. Umbrella Bash - Dash forward with an umbrella, blocking projectiles.
Up Special Gizmo-A-Go-Go - Leap upward. If you hit an ally, you will apply cleanse and attach yourself to them. If you hit an enemy, you will bounce upward. Same
Down Special Corrugated Camouflage - Hop in a toy chest to block projectiles. Falling Furball - Slam downward and bounce back up if you hit an enemy.

Gizmo combos

Gizmo’s arrows deal next to no knockback in MultiVersus. While it makes them unviable as kill moves, it also makes them excellent combo starters. Gizmo can force his opponent into hitstun with an arrow, then leap in with a forward-air or up-air to continue the combo.

In addition, Gizmo’s aerial down-special is a solid combo starter. After bouncing off an enemy, he can launch them back downward with a down-air, then catch them on the way up with an up-air before finally chasing them with an up-special to try and kill.

Perk Effect
Bounce, Bounce, Boom! Air down special can bounce off his popcorn and toy car to detonate instantly
Power Cuddle When attached to an ally, your charge attacks charge faster.
Rhythm's Gonna Getcha If you fully stack music on an enemy, they will dance.

Considering he can spend a good chunk of the match literally attached to his teammate, it makes sense that Gizmo would benefit from the Defense perk Back To Back, which reduces damage by 6% when he’s near an ally.

Given his strong arrow projectiles, Gizmo also enjoys the Offense perk Make It Rain, Dog!, which makes his projectiles 20% faster.

Finally, Gizmo’s recommended Utility perk is Triple Jump. If stacked with an ally, it ensures he always has three midair jumps. Even if it’s not stacked, it grants him a third jump if he hits an opponent in the air, which Gizmo can easily do thanks to his long-range arrow projectiles.
