If you want to fly through the skies in LEGO Fortnite but don’t want to use Sandbox Mode, then crafting a Glider will be the next best way for you to quickly travel across the game world.

Whether you prefer travelling by foot, by car, or by Glider, LEGO Fortnite has a surprising number of options for you to consider – so we’ll show you how to grips with your flying option in the game.

How to make a Glider in LEGO Fortnite

To get the Glider, you’ll first need to unlock the recipe by crafting a Spinning Wheel and a Loom, which are also necessary for creating some of the items needed to craft the Glider.

The Spinning Wheel (which you'll see below) will get you Silk Threads and the Loom will get you the Silk and Wool Fabrics you will need to craft the Glider.

Below we’ve detailed the recipes for all three utilities so you can start acquiring the materials:

Glider

Material Required Amount
Flexwood Rods 8
Silk Fabric 4
Wool Fabric 4

Spinning Wheel

Material Required Amount
Planks 8
Wolf Claws 5
Wood 5
Wooden Rods 5

Loom

Material Required Amount
Flexwood 9
Flexwood Rod 8
Sand Claw 6

Prioritise the Loom and the Spinning Wheel first and then, once you’ve scoured for the materials, you’ll be well on your way to creating the Glider at your Crafting Bench.

How to use a Glider in LEGO Fortnite

To use the Glider effectively in LEGO Fortnite, you'll need to fall or jump from a high enough place, like a mountain in one of the colder biomes in the game.

When you have the Glider equipped, you’ll be prompted to press the jump button again on the platform of your choice. It will deploy the Glider and you’ll be soaring across the skies in style.

That’s everything you need to make yourself a handy dandy Glider in LEGO Fortnite. If you’re on the hunt for more creative projects in this game, you’re going to need plenty of resources, so be sure to check out our Fortnite homepage, where you’ll find guides on where to find Obsidian, Brightcore, Knotroot and more.
