The Elden Ring Sacred Relic Sword is a greatsword that requires 14 Strength, 24 Dexterity, and 22 Faith. It primarily scales with Strength and Faith, and the weapon's skill only scales from Faith. This means if you have the required Dexterity for it, there's no reason to level that further, as you'll get diminishing returns. As a unique weapon, it requires Somber Smithing Stones to upgrade, along with an Ancient Dragon Somber Smithing Stone to reach its maximum.

The skill of the Sacred Relic Sword is called Wave of Gold, and despite it's high cost of 50 FP per use, it's incredibly powerful. When activated, you'll swipe your sword in front of you, causing a wave of golden light to spread out forward, widening its range as it goes further. Toward the end of its range, the damage falls off by about 20%, but it's still enough to decimate most enemies in the game, including many bosses.

To earn the Elden Ring Sacred Relic Sword, you'll have to actually beat the very last boss in the game, meaning this is a very end-game weapon to use. However, you can still carry it over into New Game+ if you want to spend a significant amount of time using it.

The boss you'll have to defeat is the Elden Beast, who you will fight at the Elden Throne shortly before getting one of the game's many endings. After defeating them, they will drop the Elden Remembrance, which can be taken to Enia at the Roundtable Hold to exchange for the sword. Afterwards, it's all yours, and you can use it freely for the rest of your adventures in the Lands Between.

That's our breakdown of how to earn the Elden Ring Sacred Relic Sword, and now you should be able to get the needed Remembrance to trade in for the powerful weapon.

For a quality late-game Ash of War, we also have a rundown of how to find the Elden Ring Seppuku skill.
