Elden Ring Godskin Noble Boss Fight: How To Beat The Godskin Noble

The Elden Ring Godskin Noble is located in the Volcano Manor area, on the path towards the Elden Ring Rykard boss fight. If the Volcano Manor path is chosen instead of following Tanith’s quest, the Godskin Noble will have to be beaten before the path to Rykard is unlocked in Elden Ring. It is possible to be teleported to Rykard and miss the Volcano Manor area completely if Tanith’s assassination missions are completed. If you wish to complete the area however, read on for all things Elden Ring Godskin Noble.

Volcano Manor is located to the far west of the Altus Plateau which can be tricky to navigate initially. As such the location can be found three ways. The first is by travelling down the Grand Lift of Dectus (after locating the medallion pieces) and then making the long trek around Mt. Gelmir towards the Manor.

Alternatively, you can progress the questline of beloved fan favourite Patches. After Patches moves to the Scenic Isle Site of Grace in Liurnia he tells you about an Abductor Virgin within Raya Lucaria that has the power to teleport the player. If this path is chosen, the player will have to let the Abductor Virgin trap them in its chest, the player will then be transported to Volcano Manor Dungeon.

Lastly, the player can follow Rya’s questline. Rya is located near Patches at the Scenic Isle of Grace and when you initially meet her she tasks you with retrieving her necklace from a thief. The necklace can be bought from the merchant at the Boilprawn Shack north of her, for 1,000 runes. This merchant also sells Boiled Prawns which is a useful consumable item that reduces damage. Once returned to her, you can meet her by the Grand Lift of Dectus where she will teleport you inside Volcano Manor after initially gifting you with a formal invitation.

To find the path that will let you explore all areas of Volcano Manor, you must first speak to Tanith who will give you the Drawing-Room Key. If you proceed to open the first door to the right in the hallway, you will see a body. Loot it and strike the wall behind it to reveal a secret passageway. This is the path around the Manor you must follow to reach the Godskin Noble and after him, Rykard.

When exploring this area, there will be a multitude of fire enemies and lava so it may be worthwhile equipping the Flamedrake Talisman to negate this fire damage.

Once the area is explored the player will arrive at a lever, pull it to raise the main bridge and create a shortcut between the Prison Town Church Site of Grace and Temple of Eiglay where the boss is located.

Elden Ring Godskin Noble Boss Fight: How To Beat Him

First Phase

The Godskin Noble is a large enemy with robes made from his enemy’s faces. He has resistances to Fire and Holy attacks but is weak to Frostbite and Hemorrhage. Meaning that a weapon that inflicts bleed damage is the way to go for this fight. By striking with a bleed weapon multiple times, he will lose a major chunk to his health after multiple strikes.

Using your Spirit Ash summons to distract him whilst you strike is a good method, just be careful of his black flame attacks. This is both in the form of a circle of flames around him, and a projectile that he will throw at you. It is possible to negate this damage by being directly in the circle of flames with him, but this is a dangerous method as he may push you back into the flames with a belly bounce or sword strike.

He will also stomp the ground around him, but his moves are well telegraphed and easy to spot. His stab attack has devastating damage and is best dodged out of the way. He will usually follow this attack with multiple stabs and is faster than his appearance will allude to, so stay out of his way when this happens or you may get stuck in quick succession of his stab attacks.

When his health falls below 60%, the Godskin Noble will perform a belly attack. He will inflate his belly and then roll towards you. This is incredibly hard to dodge even with the use of the pillars in the temple, as some of his attacks will hit through the pillars towards you and he doesn’t seem to stop the animation until he has made impact.

This attack is easy to spot as he takes a few seconds to inflate his stomach first. Try sprinting to the side and ducking behind pillars or dodging as a roll away from him doesn’t seem to afford any kind of protection against this attack. If you do make impact, be sure to take a drink from your flask during the time it takes for him to get back to his feet.

He can be staggered if bleed damage builds up but doesn’t have a critical hit spot, so if he pauses to recover make sure you run in with a few attacks whilst he’s down.

Elden Ring Godskin Noble Boss Fight: Rewards

Upon defeating the Godskin Noble, the player will receive a trophy/achievement and the Temple of Eiglay Site of Grace will become available. The path onwards to fight Rykard will also be available now.

The Godskin Noble will drop 50,000 runes, Godskin Stitcher sword and the Noble Presence ability.

The Godskin Noble will appear as a standard enemy in a few locations after this, if you defeat him again at the Carian Study Hall you will receive the Godskin Armor.
