Once you have finished the questline for the Library of Zoltun Kulle region, you should return to Westmarch to speak to Deckard Cain. He will tell you to speak to Rayek where you can begin to take part in the Helliquary raids and start Demonic Remains.

The quest will task you with clearing the first Challenge Rift and beating Diablo Immortal Chaos Herald Pyl, and to begin this you will have to navigate toward the Palace Courtyard and find the statue for the rift events. Once you get inside, you're challenged to beat the whole raid before the timer expires, but it's pretty simple as the first one you will encounter.

Once you get to Pyl you are very close to finishing the Diablo Immortal Demonic Remains quest, but you've got a fight ahead of you. Chaos Herald Pyl isn't too challenging and makes for a solid introduction to the Helliquary bosses, but there are still some things you should know when dealing with him.

In general, you'll want to utilise being mobile as much as possible, allowing you to avoid damage and get in good positions to counter Pyl for damage. Something you'll need to watch out for are the groups of minions that he can summon, so prioritise these with AoE attacks until you can focus Pyl again.

There are also a few key attacks to watch out for. First, is the skill that creates burning rings of fire on the ground that glow orange. These deal constant damage to you when you're standing in them, so it's best to just avoid them entirely. The trouble is, he will also use an attack where he launches spikes toward you. You can watch for this move as Pyl will raise his staff above his head, giving you the chance to dodge to the left or right.

The most dangerous move in his arsenal is his ultimate, where he performs a massive AoE blast around him. He will begin to slowly channel this move, so you can run far away before he deals the damage. Some players can still tank this move, but it's only recommended if you have good communication to heal those players, like in Diablo Immortal clans

Diablo Immortal Demonic Remains Rewards

Defeating Pyl will allow you to loot Pyl's Flowing Chaos, and unlock the portal out of the raid to finish the Demonic Remains quest. Putting the Flowing Chaos into your Heliquarry afterward will reward you with a +10% critical chance when in rifts.

That's our walkthrough of the Diablo Immortal Demonic Remains quest, and now you know how to start it and how to defeat Chaos Herald Pyl.
