The Call of the Ancients Zone Event can start very easily when you get to the Frozen Tundra zone, as all the players in the zone just need to kill enemies to loot an item called Ancient Essence and fill a metre that applies to everyone in the area. A notification will be sent to everyone once the metre has been filled, and players will be given 60 seconds to navigate to the Ice Clan Village, which is north of the Bitter Hearth Waypoint.

Once you get the notification and make your way to the Ice Clan Village, you should come across the Ancient Spirit, who is the key part of this event. In short, you will need to escort them across the zone to the Altar of the Forebears, but of course, there are some obstacles to this.

Along the route, enemies called Spirit Hunters will attempt to drain the Ancient Spirit's essence, so you will need to swiftly defeat these to keep its health high. Sometimes the Spirit Hunters will also cast a Chain of Darkness to prohibit both you and the spirit from moving, but you stop this by defeating them.

Eventually, the Ancient Spirit will arrive at the Altar of the Forebears, which essentially means you have completed the event, but there's still an extra twist to it. You can now interact with the spirit to hand it items called Ancestral Relics, which are earned by killing Spirit Hunters and Rare Elites in the region. You can hand over a total of ten of these during each event, and once the Ancient Spirit gets to the altar, they will remain for ten minutes, giving you the chance to quickly farm some more relics.

Handing over an Ancient Relic will reward you with one Scrap Material, allowing you to gain a total of ten, which can be used to upgrade some pieces of equipment. This event is only really useful for players needing to get some Scrap Materials, and due to how long it can take to finish, it's not optimal for farming.

That's all for our walkthrough of the Diablo Immortal Call of the Ancients Zone Event, and now you know how to begin and finish the event, along with what rewards you can earn for participation.
