Get into the holiday spirit early, courtesy of CODMAS and the Santa's Slayground event in Call of Duty! This year, the festivities span across MW3 Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. Let's go over everything to look forward to in the game's winter holiday event, including all the different modes, challenges, and rewards.

Start & end dates

CODMAS kicks off on December 19, 2023, at 6pm GMT. The celebration will run for two weeks before concluding on January 3, 2024, at 4pm GMT.

Limited-Time Modes (LTMs)

The highlight of CODMAS in Warzone is the Slay Ride Resurgence LTM. This LTM is a twist on Resurgence featuring a reskinned train conducted by Santa Gnaws. If you behave yourself, Santa Gnaws will award you and your squad some gifts, but if he deems you naughty, prepare for a fight.

Before or after you hit the train, you can visit one of six Deck the Halls tree-themed capture points to secure top-tier gear right away. The longer you stand near a tree uncontested, the more loot you'll get! However, be ready to enter a Merry Portal and face-off with an undead variant of Santa Claus to claim what's yours.

On the Multiplayer side of things, we have brand-new holiday-themed iterations of Shipment and Highrise in Shipmas and Hangover, plus two LTMs: Infectious Holiday and Snowfight. In Infectious Holiday, all Zombies don the Zombie Santa Skin. Meanwhile, Snowfight turns the first two rounds of Gunfight into an all-out snowball fight that includes a yellow snowball in the centre of the map that can eliminate foes with a single hit.

Last but not least, players will encounter seasonal enemy models in Zombies, updated infil music, and lootable snowballs!

Challenges & rewards

Fitting to the holiday, CODMAS offers Operators an opportunity to earn all kinds of free limited-time rewards as part of Santa’s Slayground. Complete visible and hidden challenges across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone to unlock consumables and cosmetic goodies like the Christmas Skulls Calling Card, the Elfsecution Finishing Move, and a unique Weapon Blueprint and Operator Skin.

The abhorrent Krampus isn't around to torture you this year, but Santa Gnaws is here to take his spot! Play Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone to battle zombified Santa Claus, wield snowballs, and complete challenges to receive exciting, themed rewards!

Merry CODMAS! Check out our Call of Duty homepage for more news, guides, and features relating to Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.
