Black Myth: Wukong has a few different secret quests throughout the game, but you aren't directly told how to solve them. The Old-Rattle Drum quest is one of these, as you just pick up the item from a specific boss with no indications of where to use it and what to do next.

If you need a walkthrough to get to the end of this quest in the second chapter of the game, here's everything to know.

Finding the Old Rattle-Drum

The Old Rattle-Drum is found on the Tiger's Acolyte boss. They're located past the Windrest Hamlet Shrine, on a narrow bridge leading into a large cave.

You find this location by starting from the Crouching Tiger Temple, making your way through it, and then travelling through the entire village village until you come to the Shrine at the end.

Rattling locations

Once you find the Old Rattle-Drum, you'll need to locate three different rattling locations to use it and trigger the next step of the quest.

Rattling location 1

For the first part, head back to the Windrest Hamlet Shrine. Walk back down the path into the village and take a left just after you enter the gateway.

Follow this path a little bit, and the screen should turn grey, indicating you've found the right spot. Walk forward a little more until a button prompt appears on the screen, and you can start the first cutscene where you use the drum.

I recommend going back to the Shrine and using it to teleport over to the Valley of Despair Shrine for the next location.

From here, you'll need to head through the large stone doors ahead of you in this area. If you've not opened these yet, you'll need the Sterness of Stone and Keeness of Tiger items. The first can be found on the Stone Vanguard in the Fright Cliffs area, and the second on the Tiger Vanguard in the Crouching Tiger Temple.

Open the doors by interacting with the pedestal, and head down the path. Before crossing the bridge, head right through the wooden hut, and you'll find the second rattling location.

Go back to the Shrine you just fast-travelled to and then into the Sandgate Village for the next rattling location.

From the gates, head forward and follow the path all the way round, as it goes between the wooden houses into a more open area with a pond. At the back corner of this area, you'll find a small brick wall.

After you make your way past the brick wall a little, you can find the third location. Rattling the drum here will trigger a cutscene where the spirit of a boy is summoned, and he drops down a well, asking you to follow.

Bottom of the Well

Down in the well, you can find the Mad Tiger boss; he's the most difficult of the three main tiger bosses from this chapter, including the Tiger Vanguard in the Chapter Two Secret.

Defeating him will earn you an achievement, a Blood of the Iron Bull material, and the Mad Tiger Spirit. If you've also slain Tiger Vanguard and Tiger's Acolyte, you'll get an additional achievement.

On the left of the arena, there is also a chest with the Plaguebane Gourd inside, which provides increased attack for a short duration at the cost of halving your healing.
