The Chapter Two Secret in Black Myth: Wukong is a bit more complicated and longer than the one from the first chapter, but it does lead to one of the coolest bosses of the game.

Here's everything you need to know about the secret and the related Boar questline.

How to start the Boar quest

Starting the Boar quest requires you to visit the Fright Cliff area in chapter two. After the Sandgate Village, you can head across a wooden bridge over the water, and through a stone archway to find the area.

Make your way through until you come to the Rockrest Flat Shrine, and then at the back of this area, you can find a wooden gate that leads into an open cliff edge.

The Boar will be sitting on a rock in the middle. Just interact with him to trigger the quest. In short, he's very drunk and requires a Sobering Stone to get moving again.

The Sobering Stone can be acquired in two different ways. I'll go through both, but I recommend the first because it's just simpler:

  1. Back in the first area of Fright Cliff, you can find an NPC called Man-in-Stone at the bottom of a ravine, who can sell the Sobering Stone to you. To unlock his shop, you'll need to head into the cave nearby, defeat the Mother of Stone enemy, and bring back the Essence of Stone. Attack him to start a fight, and then talk to him after beating him. Rest at a Shrine and return to use his services and purchase the Sobering Stone.
  2. The other method requires you to travel to the Windrest Hamlet, on the other side of the map, past the Crouching Tiger Temple. In a small alcove, you can find a glowing pot, and breaking it will reward you with the Sobering Stone.

Once you have the stone, just return to the Boar and give it to him. He'll mention that he's off to find some food, so you'll need to hunt him down again.

Finding the Boar at Crouching Tiger Temple

You can find the Crouching Tiger Temple from the cave at the bottom of the stairs leading out of the Sandgate Village. Just head up the steps at the temple, and you can find the Boar sat on the floor near the top, on the right side.

He'll ask you for some Jade Lotus due to the poor meat at the temple. This is a resource you'll likely have gathered a tonne of at this point, but if not, you can find it in water and ponds. I recommend just searching the shallow lake at the start of the chapter two map.

After you give it to him, he'll say something about a piece of gold. This is the Arhat Gold Piece, which you need to collect.

How to get the Arhat Gold Piece

You can grab the Arhat Gold Piece in the aforementioned Valley of Despair cave in the previous section. You may already have it if you killed the King of Flowing Sands, and then ventured into the cave, as a cutscene will play that summons the First Prince of Flowing Sands.

Defeating the First Prince of Flowing Sands will grant you the item. If you haven't already defeated him, the Boar will give you a Pungent Flesh Chunk, you can use to summon the First Prince if you visit the cave.

Now it's time to find the Boar once more.

Returning to the Boar

You can return to the Fright Cliffs to find the Boar again, as he'll be in the open area you first found him. However, he won't be on the rock this time; instead he'll be up the near the large gate on the right side.

Approaching him will begin a fight, so you need to defeat him to calm him down again. This will trigger a cutscene where he enters the large stone gate behind him, allowing you to enter the area.

Secret area explained

When you first enter the large stone cave, another cutscene will play where the Boar explains some lore to you, before you're transported into the past, into the Kingdom of Sahali.

This area has two boss fights, along with some hidden treasures around the edge of the cliffs that close you in, along with a Meditation Spot on some rocks.

Defeating the Fuban boss (the main boss of the area) will grant you some new armour to craft if you choose, along with the Wind Tamer Vessel, which is a vital item to make the Yellow Wind Sage boss at the end of chapter two easier.
