In the Fright Cliff area of chapter two in Black Myth: Wukong, you may come across an item called Buddha's Eyeball and wonder what it's for.

There are a total of six of these to collect in the area, granting you access to a secret boss called Shigandang if you take them to the right place. I've covered all the locations below and how to use them to summon the boss.

How to get to Fright Cliff

Once you make your way through the Sandgate Village in chapter two, you'll come out a doorway, and a cutscene for the King and Second Prince of Flowing Sands will start.

After this fight, head right toward the wooden walkway over the valley below and follow it toward the giant stone arch. Heading through there will place you in Fright Cliff.

After walking into Fright Cliff, follow the path up past the rock enemy toward the Squall Hideout Shrine.

On the right-hand side of the path, you can see the first Buddha head and the Eyeball. Interact with it to pick it up.

From the Shrine, head right and up the hill past a number of rock enemies. If you then curve round to the left, you'll come to a set of stairs that lead up to a platform with some ranged enemies.

The Buddha's Eyeball is on this platform.

Drop down from the platform and cross over the rocky bridge. Up ahead, on the path, you can see the second Buddha head next to the cliff face.

Head back to the previous Shrine for this next one. Go into the cave on the left, making your way through the arch ahead.

Continue up the path, and then turn left further into the cave. You'll see the next Buddha head next to some columns.

Go backwards and then turn left to follow the cave further. You'll eventually come out at Rockrest Flat with a Shrine ahead.

Turn left from there and follow the path until you see the next Buddha head on a statue base, buried in the sand.

Go back to the Rockrest Flat Shrine and turn backwards into the cave again. Take the path to the right that goes upwards into the cave.

At the end of this pathway is a boss called Mother of Stones. You'll see a gap in the rocks that leads outside to a cliff edge. The last Buddha's head is just on the edge of this path.

How to summon Shigandang

Once you've gathered all the items, you'll need to head over to the Rockrest Flat Shrine in the Fright Cliff area. This is past the cave near Squall Hideout, so it shouldn't be too hard to find.

From here, if you head left, you'll find an arch that leads to a large open platform. On the far end is a gathering of rocks that join together if you get too close to form the boss Stone Vanguard.

On the other hand, nearby, you can see a larger rock sticking out of the ground with some faces on it.

Interacting with this after gathering all of the Buddha's Eyeballs will start a cutscene where the rock rises out of the ground to reveal a boss called Shigandang.

If you wake up Shigandang before you defeat Stone Vanguard, both bosses will fight each other, letting you battle a weakened Shigandang instead.
