Working your way to Battlefield 2042 max rank may take you quite some time... after all, it's level 60 before you've even unlocked all the weapons in the game. Yet you'll have some time to go before you have capped the levelling system. While the base levels will allow you to go up to level 99, you'll be able to get started on your S-Level after that. S-Levels starts from S001 and go all the way up to S999. That means you have 1098 levels to work through to get to the Battlefield 2042 max rank. Along the way you'll earn skins for your weapons and operators. These are often tied to weapons and character progression over level however.

Getting to Battlefield 2042 max rank is going to be no small feat, so you'll want to squeeze every ounce of XP you can out of matches. To earn XP fast in Battlefield 2042, there are a few small gameplay choices you can make that will have you compiling tons of points - not that you would know due to the weird new Battlefield 2042 scoreboard system.

One of the most underrated yet effective XP earners in 2042 is spotting. There are various ways that you can spot enemies, receiving 5XP for the spot then 50XP for the assist if they are killed. Some of the quickest ways to spot is by using specialists like Battlefield 2042 Casper, who can control his drone to spot people. However, if you like to be a bit more proactive, Battlefield 2042 Boris has a turret that spots enemies as it shoots them, and Paik spots anyone that does her damage once you've unlocked her at level 25. Before that at level 22, you will unlock the Prox Sensors, which allows you to mark enemies nearby where your sensor lands. You can also get spotting points by sitting in the spotting seat in some vehicles, although this is a little harder to do.

When it comes to game modes, you are going to want to avoid Portal and Hazard Zone, as both offer minimal XP in comparison to All-Out Warfare. Portal does feature various XP farms, but the developer has muted the amount of XP you can actually earn from each kill. Out of the two modes in All-Out Warfare Breakthrough is the most points heavy as it condenses both teams making it easier to rack up kills. Lastly, a popular way to earn XP fast in Battlefield 2042 is to rush the enemy spawn with a vehicle (jet, helicopter, or hovercraft) and run over or crash into them before they have the time to separate.

Now you know the work you've got to put in to get to Battlefield 2042 max rank. Want to equip yourself with the best Battlefield 2042 weapons? Check out our guide for the best Battlefield 2042 PP-29 loadouts.
