Assassin’s Creed Mirage's launch is looming, and if you're excited about the next entry in the franchise, but are unsure of which edition would be best suited to you, we've got a breakdown of the Standard, Deluxe, and Collector's Editions to help you decide.

A new Assassin’s Creed game means a new location to explore and a new protagonist for us to enjoy, with the series also seeing a return to its roots compared to the vast, RPG-like worlds that can take hundreds to play.

This time around, with Mirage, Ubisoft's returning to the smaller, more compact stealth gameplay that made the series a household name. So, here is everything we can expect from Assassin’s Creed Mirage's special editions when they release later this year to help you decide which version to buy.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage pre-order bonus

Regardless of which edition of Assassin's Creed Mirage you're interested in, if you pre-order Assassin’s Creed Mirage, you will earn a bonus quest for the game, which will see Basim having to take on forty thieves in an expansion of the same name.

You can pre-order the game from any retailer to earn this extra bonus.

Assassin's Creed Mirage Standard, Deluxe & Collector's editions explained

Whether you're trying to get the most bang for your buck or are just interested in what additional goodies come with Assasin's Creed Mirage, here's a comparison of each edition to help you decide:

Assassin's Creed Mirage Standard edition

While the Standard Edition of Assassin's Creed Mirage only includes the base game, if you pre-order, you will get the added Forty Thieves expansion. Otherwise, there are no added extras with this version of the game.

Assassin's Creed Mirage Deluxe edition

The Deluxe Edition of Assassin’s Creed Mirage includes the base game, as well as the previously mentioned pre-order bonus if you do order it early.

That's not all, though, as there are some extra goodies to enjoy as well, which we've listed below:

• Prince of Persia-inspired outfit

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Collector’s edition

The Collector’s Edition of Assassin's Creed Mirage includes the base game, items from the Deluxe edition and the Forty Thieves pre-order bonus if you buy early. There are also plenty of extra goodies too, including a statue of Basim and more physical items to enjoy. Here is everything including: 

• A figurine of the Master Assassin Basim
• Complete pack inspired by Prince of Persia (as included in Deluxe Edition) 
• Digital artbook and soundtrack
• Replica of Basim’s brooch and a Baghdad map
• Soundtrack of Assassin’s Creed Mirage
• Steelbook with a design made by Assassin’s Creed fans
