Pokemon Legends Z-A is set to take fans back to Lumiose City, and while we don't know much else about the game right now, we do have a pretty good idea of which creatures you'll be able to catch.

Following in the footsteps of Pokemon Legends Arceus, the upcoming game will once again transport Trainers back to an existing region - in this case, Sun & Moon's Kalos region - with a mix of 'mon from across generations and a brand-new story.

Based on the game's reveal trailer, which debuted during this year's Pokemon Day celebrations, we've already been able to spot a bunch of Pokemon running around Lumiose City, including fan favourites like Gyarados, Sylveon, and Dragonair.

All Pokemon in Legends Z-A

Here are all of the Pokemon that are set to appear in Legends Z-A, ordered by the generation in which they originally debuted:

  • Sylveon
  • Hawlucha
  • Klefki
  • Noibat
  • Noivern

All of these Pokemon appeared in the Legends Z-A reveal trailer or are part of their evolutionary families (and therefore, assumed to also appear in the game).

Of course, there's always a small chance that some of these Pokemon could get new regional evolutions in the upcoming game instead, in which case their traditional evolution may not make an appearance.

What other Pokemon could appear?

Although it didn't appear in the reveal trailer for Pokemon Legends Z-A, there are signs that the Legendary Zygarde will be the game's main focus - especially as the logo is based on its design and colour scheme.

As for the rest of the lineup, we can look back to Pokemon Legends Arceus for some ideas. The majority of that game's Pokedex was made up of creatures that first appeared in Sinnoh, the region it was based on.

Given that Pokemon Legends Z-A is set in the Kalos region's Lumiose City, it seems reasonable to assume that most - if not all - Pokemon originally from Sun & Moon's Kalos region will be available to catch in the game.

Pokemon Legends Arceus also featured Diamond & Pearl's box art Legendaries, Dialga and Palkia, so I'm expecting Sun & Moon's box art Legendaries, Solgaleo and Lunala, to appear in Pokemon Legends Z-A too.

Our final clue is the return of Mega Evolution. While nothing is confirmed yet, it does seem likely that most Pokemon capable of Mega Evolving, such as Gardevoir and the Kanto starters, will be available to catch.

There will no doubt be plenty more Pokemon revealed as we get closer to 2025, which is when the game is scheduled to release, so I'll keep this page updated as we find out more!
