Can you believe it's been almost 25 years since Yami Yugi's Exodia: The Forbidden One tore Seto Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon apart and kick-started trap card and "d-d-d-duel" memes the world over?

While many were first introduced to the series through that classic anime storyline, the franchise began in Manga form earlier than that, and Konami has finally revealed its Yu-Gi-Oh 25th Anniversary Legendary Collection to celebrate the card game's big year.

What's in the Yu-Gi-Oh 25th Anniversary Legendary Collection?

Launching today, April 20, the Yu-Gi-Oh 25th Anniversary Legendary Collection brings together famous cards including the likes of Blue-Eyes White Dragon as used by Seto Kaiba, Dark Magician as used by Yugi, and Red-Eyes Black Dragon as used by Joey.

The box is split into packs as follows:

  • 1 pack of Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon
  • 1 pack of Metal Raiders
  • 1 pack of Spell Ruler
  • 1 pack of Pharaoh’s Servant
  • 1 pack of Dark Crisis
  • 1 pack of Invasion of Chaos

There are a few Ultra Rare cards, too, including those mentioned above:

  • Obelisk the Tormentor
  • Slifer the Sky Dragon
  • The Winged Dragon of Ra
  • Blue-Eyes White Dragon
  • Dark Magician
  • Red-Eyes Black Dragon

Got all of those classic cards? There's still a reason to consider the bundle thanks to the inclusion of a bonus 7th card that has a new rarity level - The Quarter Century Secret Rare.

According to the official site, the updated rarity will persist in upcoming packs:

"Each Legendary Collection: 25th Anniversary Edition will include 1 random Quarter Century Secret Rare version of 1 of the 6 special variant cards to give Duelists a taste of what’s to come!"
