Warzone Streamer Manages Fastest Gulag Win Ever
The Nuketown "Gulag", which isn't a Gulag but is being called a Gulag, has been somewhat problematic since being implemented in the revamped Season 1. Warzone's prisoners have been cast into a 1v1 gunfight in a cardboard replication of the classic Black Ops map, seemingly to add a small element of Treyarch copyright into a predominantly Infinity Ward title - a chink in the armour during the battle of the biggest developer biceps.
Recently, the Nuketown Gulag has been under a lot of criticism, not only because it differs from the physical definition as a Soviet network of forced labour camps, but because of its one-sided layout. Depending on which side of it you spawn in can give one a competitive edge, with many wishing for simpler times back in the showers.
The rotation of weapons keeps the Gulag staying fresh, so when the time comes for the snipers to come out, the trick-shotters and quickscopers are locked into their element.
With the sniper in hand though, one player took this a step further, manipulating a line of sight that allowed him to hit the quickest Warzone Gulag kill ever recorded.
Reddit user "guberNailer" down tooled Mario's wrench for the RYTEC AMR rifle and peeked down the side of the unpolished 'Welcome to Nuketown' board to decimate his foe in less than a second.
To add a little chef's kiss to the Beluga Caviar of kills, as it was loading in the player even called out "watch this, quicker Gulag win ever".
The line of sight through to the opposition spawn certainly opens avenues to more players setting equal records, especially with a faster weapon like the Kar-98k.
Hats off to the gruberNailer though, there's no messing around with this guy.
