Warzone Esports is so easy that substitute family members are winning $60mil events

The $60 million Esports World Cup is officially underway as Call of Duty's battle royale slotted in as an early curtain raiser. 

Warzone esports is the first of many titles that will play out at this colossal festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but it's already written the best chapters in this year's story.

One competitor was hospitalised with an illness, and in their absence, their brother stepped up to the plate. Without any practice with the squad at this elite level, he singlehandedly showed the entire pool of pros up by winning a map.

Warzone pro's amateur brother just won in a $60 million event

Warzone player Alex "Destroy" Benabe was unfortunately hospitalized in Saudi Arabia before the Solo heats, which would serve as seeding for the trios championship throughout the week.

But, their brother "Jay215", or "StabelJay" in-game, was allowed to come in as a substitute and compete as a solo player against the other 150 greats of the game.

And in Game Two, the amateur player won the map!

Throughout the map the StableJay won, they got five kills and played patiently enough to come out as the last player standing.

What makes this even more startling is that in Game One, StableJay was the first person to die, which was expected given the level of talent, but made the comeback even sweeter.

"It was a beautiful experience, and I can't get the memory out of my head," he said in an interview with Jake Lucky.

The brother's brief moment in the limelight has been enough to secure Team Destroy a respectable 10th seed overall, making them poised to be high up in the rankings when the Trios competition kicks off and the $1,000,000 prize pool is shared out.
