Hold onto your Scooby Snacks because Warner Bros. has announced that it is developing MultiVersus - a new free-to-play platform fighter featuring all our favourite characters from the legendary universe.

The official announcement of MultiVersus isn't exactly a surprise, with a roster that was previously leaked looking pretty close to what has been unveiled by Warner Bros. Games. Here's hoping it's better than Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl

What Does Warner Bros. Multiversus Look Like?

David Haddad, President, Warner Bros. Games said: "With MultiVersus we are creating a distinct competitive game that allows us to combine a deep roster of celebrated WarnerMedia franchises for gamers to enjoy".

"We are partnering with the talented team at Player First Games to bring together a free-to-play, online platform fighter with a wealth of iconic characters that fans know and love, from Wonder Woman and Bugs Bunny to Shaggy and Arya from Game of Thrones. And this is just the beginning, as we are excited to support upcoming seasons and ongoing game content."

Who Is In Multiversus?

If you're ready, there's an all-star roster that includes the following. You can go head-to-head with a number of iconic characters including: "Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn (DC Super Heroes & DC Super-Villains); Shaggy (Scooby-Doo); Bugs Bunny (Looney Tunes).

Added to this, there is Arya Stark (Game of Thrones); Tom and Jerry (Tom and Jerry); Jake the Dog and Finn the Human (Adventure Time); Steven Universe and Garnet (Steven Universe)." Not only that, but there are many more to come.

Notably, we're pumped that Arya Stark has arrived as a surprise addition - proving that Winter is coming. Added to that, who isn't pumped that Matthew Lillard will be reprising his role as Shaggy for the title? Consider us sold on this alone!

MultiVersus is set to be released in 2022 on PS5 and PS4 consoles, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles and PC.
