We're getting a blast from the past in Warzone, as the fan-favourite Verdansk is one step closer to its promised return. The OG Warzone map has earned a rightful place in our hearts, and while Verdansk '84 tried to replicate its success, the return of the GOAT is all some of you will be satisfied with.

A new Warzone teaser has confirmed that Atlas Superstore is coming to the game on July 24. Although we heard that Verdansk's return has potentially been delayed, the arrival of the Superstore POI suggests it might be closer than we first thought.

Superstore POI teases Verdansk's return

It's not quite the all-singing Verdansk return we hoped for, but Atlas Superstore is making its debut on the divisive Urzikstan map. Atlas Superstore arrived as a multiplayer map in 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2, taking place in Verdansk. Given its connection to the Warzone favourite, players are joining the dots.

One fan cheered, "OMG WE’RE GOING HOME!!!," while another added, "Servers will blow up….." and a third said, "Fine, I’ll make a warzone return." Not everyone was sold, though, as someone concluded, "Nah just give us Verdansk." There are plenty of grumbles that the team will do anything to prevent us from getting a full Verdansk return.

It seems that Urzikstan's Superstore POI is supposed to tide us over until Verdansk eventually shoots its way back into our lives, but the devs might've inadvertently reminded us what we're missing. Black Ops 6 is just around the corner and is set to overhaul Warzone all over again, but many Call of Duty players only have one thing on their mind...and it's Verdansk.
