Timothy "TimTheTatman" Betar and Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff have clashed in the past over who would win in a fight between a silverback gorilla and a grizzly bear, but when you throw the two streamers into an octagon alongside UFC's notorious Conor McGregor, fans would pay Box Office sums to see the antics unfold.

Whilst a three-way heavyweight brawl might not quite be on the undercard of a KSI versus Jake Paul boxing bout, the trio did find themselves in a hilarious Twitter exchange, bizarrely centred around the increasingly popular battle royale: Apex Legends.

Whilst McGregor has much more time on his hands following a horrific leg-break injury in his previous fight versus Dustin Poirier, the MMA brute has been spending quite a lot of time in front of the screen - although we're not sure how much truth is behind his Apex Legends rank, if he's even touched the game at all.

The Irish fighter told a fan on Twitter that he's an "Apex Predator", and whilst this may have been more of a reference towards a king-of-the-jungle-esque position amongst wild beasts, it pricked the ears of the gaming community wondering if his injury has led to a grind of the battle-royale over a more suitable EA Sports UFC 4.

McGregor joked that he is the Apex Predator that players yearn to become, rather than actually playing the game itself, which presented TimTheTatman to get one over on his fellow streamer and long-time Warzone teammate NICKMERCS.

Tim quickly responded to McGregor's Apex tweet to poke the grizzly-bear lover, saying "NICKMERCS, dude doesn't even play Apex, and he's a higher rank than you lol."

Typical to their friendship, Nick took a sly left hook at Tim's weight as a comeback, although the damage had already been dealt by Tim - in Apex terms, Tim secured his 4,000 damage badge whilst Nick was that teammate who got three knocks before turning into a deathbox.

While it appears McGregor isn't as fierce in the Outlands as he is when he's strapped up with leather gloves, he certainly backs himself as a stronger foe than anyone with a decent shot with an R301.

McGregor could actually feature in the upcoming "eSports Boxing Club" title after entering the sport with an exhibition against Floyd Mayweather in 2019. However, if he's anything like his money-making counterpart, it could cost a billion dollars to secure his signature.

Maybe, he's best focused on his recovery, rather than being immortalised in gaming.
