While you might associate Roblox with being a family-friendly experience where you'll come to no harm, there's a much darker side to the gaming creation system. Now, fans are terrified that the lumbering monsters of the Five Nights at Freddy's series have found a new home in Roblox.

Scott Cawthon first introduced us to those rampaging robots in 2014, and as it's spun off into various sequels and spin-offs, the series shows no sign of slowing down. You might be waiting for that long-mooted Fortnite crossover, but now, we're being lured to Roblox for the ultimate Five Nights experience.

Five Nights at Freddy's 2 comes to Roblox

Over on X (formerly Twitter), Tremmer10 showed off Five Nights at Freddy's 2: REIMAGINED. Created by CANGO Development, it uses original models from 2014's game (which came quickly after the OG) and gives us a new way to play.

The OP claims to have massively improved on last year's take on the point-and-click horror series, boasting a "reworked map, gameplay elements, story, and animation." There are plenty of FNAF homages in Roblox, but as the replies to the post prove, this could be one of the best yet.

Namely, most couldn't tell that this was a Five Nights at Freddy's 2 experience being played inside Roblox. One joked, "Why does it feel like this was made in Robl- OH MY F*****G GOD," while another added, "Roblox cooked with this one FR."

A third concluded, "Why do you want to force me to play Roblox 😭 I don't like Roblox, but this thing is too well done." We'll admit that if we didn't know this was a FNAF game built inside Roblox, there's no way we would've known.

It's a far cry from last year's bizarre situation where Cawthon had to explain how an officially licensed Five Nights x Roblox game was accidentally released early. It's apparently still in its beta, but in the meantime, we can play the 'unofficial' Five Nights at Freddy's 2.

Giving us the retro nostalgia of the old Five Nights games, we guess we're going to have to boot up Roblox now.
