If you're pining for more after Village's runaway success, you'll be happy to know that Resident Evil: Code Veronica is getting a remake.

However, it won't be by Capcom, as a group of passionate fans have decided to get together and make one themselves, according to GAMINGbible

What Is The Resident Evil: Code Veronica Remake Going To Be Like?

The remake will be adding new environments and an 'over-the-shoulder perspective', however they are also staying true to the original by including a 'classic' mode that will have the same camera angles as the original game.

On the fans' website, it says that the game will be: "a Remake made by fans that recreates the entire game, following the style of Re2 and Re3 Remake and at the same time respecting the original game a lot. Gameplay totally reimagined and adapted, so you can relive the events of Rockfort Island in a whole new way."

The game will be 'totally free', however the group of fans were keen to push that 'ALL rights belong to Capcom and this Project has no commercial purpose or anything like that'.

What Is Resident Evil: Code Veronica?

The game description says: "Raccoon City was just the beginning. Claire and Chris Redfield’s nightmare continues as the siblings fight to survive against zombies and other monstrosities within Umbrella’s deadly facilities,

"Scavenge for weapons and precious ammo to battle undead canines, a gigantic subterranean worm, and other terrors lurking in the shadows. Explore the mysterious Rockfort Island facility and the freezing Antarctic Base for clues exposing the Umbrella Corporation’s sordid goals and the truth behind the mysterious and unsettling Ashford twins."

The original game came out in 2000, an eye-watering 21 years ago, so we imagine the new version will be a huge difference!
