Whether you've realised it or not, it's been 211 days (and counting) since Rockstar Games dropped THAT GTA 6 trailer. The next chapter in the record-breaking GTA franchise is racing into our lives in 2025, but as its unconfirmed release date edges closer, there's been a distinct lack of news about the automotive adventure.

While leaks and data breaches have spoiled a lot of the surprises, it's wild to think that we still don't have official confirmation that Lucia's male companion is called Jason. The first trailer certainly packed a lot into it, but aside from Lucia being the female lead and a return to Vice City, we don't know much else.

GTA Online hides unexpected GTA 6 teaser

After waiting over a decade for news on GTA 6, we were already ravenous enough. Still, that's nothing compared to the hunger for so much as even an acknowledgement that GTA 6 is on the way. Thankfully, an unexpected teaser has seemingly arrived in the latest update for GTA Online.

As spotted by eagle-eyed fans on Reddit, it seems a necklace that appeared in the GTA 6 trailer is now in GTA Online. The infamous bikini woman stole the show in the first GTA 6 trailer, and aside from no one quite being sure whether she's supposed to be Lucia, another layer of mystery has been added to her backstory.

Bikini Girl's "Silver Layered Necklace" is now available to buy as an accessory following the Bottom Dollar Bounties update. Whether GTA Online is gearing up for a GTA 6 reveal/crossover or whether it's a reused asset, the theories are flowing in.

One fan cheered, "I think a lot of the clothing/vehicles they’ve been adding to GTAO are being imported over from GTA6, as a lot of the new cars seem a lot more 'polished'," while another added, "Actual evidence there is some cross over between the games is validating." Still, someone else concluded, "Rockstar already recycling content smgdhmh."

There have been concerns about what's going to happen to GTA Online, with fears it would be burned to the ground like Call of Duty with Warzone. Although this led to Warzone 2.0 taking over, it came at the cost of years of collecting. The idea that we'll lose 12 years of GTA Online vehicles isn't worth thinking about.

Either way, Rockstar is keeping a lid on what's next for GTA Online. The fact we're potentially getting a tease of GTA 6 via updates is good news, but to be honest, we'd prefer a new trailer. Come on Rockstar, we've been more than patient.
