MW3 leakers convinced a Deadpool & Wolverine crossover is imminent
Although we've now entered the path out of the Modern Warfare 3 era, as its annual lifespan has surpassed eight months and Black Ops 6 beckons, Activision appears keen to keep up its revenue stream with fancy microtransactions.
But the fascination with bundles and skins has begun to enter the territory of "well, we won't be able to use them in four months anyway." So, how about the biggest collaboration of the year to squash that perception? Deadpool & Wolverine might just be that.
Call of Duty leakers think a Deadpool x Wolverine crossover is on the way
According to the leaker "Crashfty", a Deadpool & Wolverine crossover with Call of Duty is on the horizon, coming as soon as Season 5. If this is the case, it would align with the release of the namesake film on July 25.
The leaker claims that the files contain a number of finishing moves that look to be using Deadpool's cheesy demeanour, tagged in red (like Deadpool), and a string of more brutal finishing moves tagged in yellow (like Wolverine).
They also claim that the battle pass has a range of settings/backgrounds which look like Deadpool's Scrapyard. As it looks like Shawn Levy's upcoming movie could be the biggest of 2024, it makes sense that Call of Duty would want to cash in on the hype.
A Call of Duty x Deadpool & Wolverine collaboration would see the skin lines added to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, meaning that the characters would continue to be part of CoD's lineup in the battle royale but not in Black Ops 6 on Multiplayer and Zombies. But, these leaks haven't sold everyone.

"I was speculating Deadpool at first," said popular leaker TheGhostOfHope. "But the more I see it, the more I think nope. He’d be using his swords and slapping his ass or something more iconic."
Another prominent leaker "BobNetworkUK" also distanced themselves from the leaks, inferring that this might not actually be a major collaboration after all, but rather some actions which merely mimic the anti-heroes.
Still, a Deadpool & Wolverine crossover would be rather cool and would round off Modern Warfare 3's fun and wacky era with some extra sass.
