Usually, the developers wait until a major update to introduce a new weapon, but Sledgehammer Games has jumped the gun in Modern Warfare 3.

Seemingly out of nowhere, the TAQ Eradicator LMG was added to the arsenal. While it sits in the hefty category known for slow mobility, it's got a lot of the same qualities as an AR.

This hybrid feel means playing aggressively with the weapon is a viable strategy, and if that wasn't enough, it even has a unique firing pattern that makes it lethal.

So, instead of wasting hours in Gunsmith finding a solid build, WhosImmortal has a top-tier TAQ Eradicator loadout that melts foes in multiplayer.

  • Magazine: 45 Round Mag

The TAQ Eradicator isn't your typical LMG, and that comes down to the weapon's fire rate. Instead of shooting out bullets in a normal fashion, the Eradicator's first shots fire out ridiculously quickly, before slowing down into a more accurate pattern.

This means your initial accuracy is absolutely essential with this LMG if you want to maximise your TTK and damage output. Luckily, WhosImmortal's loadout makes this gun "straightforward" and incredibly "easy to use," so recoil should never be an issue.

As a result, you should always be looking to beam enemies down long sightlines on maps like Underpass, Derail and Wasteland. The 45-round mag attachment is absolutely essential if you want the Eradicator to feel like an AR, as it improves the mobility of the weapon by a big margin - so don't forget it.

How popular is the TAQ Eradicator in MW3?

As you would expect while being a new weapon, the TAQ Eradicator is still an LMG, and that means it's never going to dominate the popularity rankings.

According to WZStats, the gun has a solid 1% pick rate, and while that's not huge, it shows players are experimenting. It's too early to decide how much of an impact the TAQ Eradicator is going to have on the meta, but the fire rate feature is brilliant for anyone who can snap onto foes with ease.
