Monster Hunter Now had every chance to scrape across the bottom of mobile game hype, especially after Pikmin Bloom struggled to make an impression, but it's coasting strong right now.

Learning from the gameplay mistakes of Pokemon GO, the game feels like an authentic Monster Hunter experience even in spite of using a touchscreen for its lightning-fast scraps with monsters, and Niantic has proved that they truly get the series enough to champion it for years to come.

And with their first major content expansion, it looks like there could be a lot of new fans to come.

Monster Hunter Now reveals the Fulminations in the Frost update

The latest update for Monster Hunter Now has been revealed, and it's packing enough content to see us through the winter.

Fulminations in the Frost is coming, and it's packing all-new weapon types, new armour sets, and some highly-requested monsters to keep players happy as the snow falls.

The update brings 46 new weapons and armour pieces, including 11 new Lances and 10 new Dual Blades, serving as brand-new weapons added to the game.

Along with them come the monsters Zinogre, Radobaan, Barioth and Banbaro, giving you plenty of big beasts to topple with your mates.

The update is incredibly exciting and well worth the hype - and it's dropping with players on December 7 2023, meaning that we've only got a week to wait to find our new weapons and take on the new giants.

The update is shaping up to make Monster Hunter Now even more of a treat for fans, and even though its shrunken format could have turned off existing fans, it has proven time and time again that it's more than worthy of the attention of the dedicated monster hunters out there.
