Like splitting fandom into its own Hogwarts house, chances are, you're either one of those who can't wait to play Hogwarts Legacy or will be avoiding it at all costs. Still, Avalanche Software's magical adventure is everywhere right now.

Away from controversies surrounding accusations of antisemitic goblins and the views of author J.K. Rowling, there's a Dumbledore's Army of wannabe witches and wizards who are practising their swish and flick ahead of Hogwarts Legacy's February 10 release.

Failing some sort of disastrous Cyberpunk 2077 launch (although CDPR turned it around), we guess the base game of Hogwarts Legacy will just be the start of our years at the famed school for witchcraft and wizardry.

Is Hogwarts Legacy Getting A Quidditch DLC?

Although we can jump on our broomsticks to fly around the grounds of Hogwarts Legacy, we know there won't be able to play Quidditch. If you played the old Philosopher's Stone video game, you'll likely either have loved or hated having to catch the Golden Snitch.

Still, with Quidditch being a massive part of the books and movies - even having 2003's Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup game - players are rightly asking why it's not part of Hogwarts Legacy

There's a glimmer of hope, with a potential Hogwarts Legacy DLC giving us Quidditch. A massive Hogwarts Legacy leak has made its way online, with someone collating it all on Twitter.

Alongside reports that the mountain and swamp areas could be used at a later date for DLCs, there's a mention that Quidditch was originally part of Hogwarts Legacy, with game files dating back to 2017.

The plan was apparently to have full-blown Quidditch for all four houses, and even though it's been cut from the final game, it's interesting that the files could still be there. This isn't confirmation we're getting a Quidditch DLC, but we're holding out hope.

Remember how Elden Ring's locked colosseums soon unlocked the secrets behind them, meaning if the Quidditch pitch is there in Hogwarts Legacy, we might be able to explore.

Hogwarts Legacy Has Quidditch... In The Worst Way

It's true that Quidditch is technically part of the game, just not in the way you'd expect. When the leaks hit the Twitterverse, angry fans noticed that you can dress as a Ravenclaw Quidditch player  - which we guess will just be a cosmetic.

For the moment, we're told we can use "broom flight for traversal and broom race challenges are part of the game," as well as the ability to explore the grounds and other selected areas. It's a far cry from competitive Quidditch.

Even if we don't get Quidditch, we imagine it won't be long until PC players have modded Hogwarts Legacy to make sure you can play Quidditch. You could also pin your hopes on a mythical sequel, but to be honest, we wouldn't be surprised if WB charges you again for a whole Quidditch spin-off.
