In a rather surprising reveal at The Game Awards, as Arkane Studios, Bethesda and Xbox announced that a new game is in the works, namely Marvel’s Blade.

While not much was revealed in the way of a release date or platform, it seems as though the game is going to be an Xbox exclusive.

A leaker’s update on Marvel’s Blade suggests the game will be an Xbox exclusive

When Marvel’s Blade was announced at The Game Awards 2023, not much information was shared other than the debut trailer.

Neither a release date or which platforms the game will appear on was revealed, leaving people questioning whether or not the game would be an Xbox exclusive.

Though nothing has been officially announced by Bethesda, Xbox or Arkane Studios, a leaker has shared that the game is going to be an Xbox exclusive after all.

This means PlayStation fans will be missing out.

In response to a Forbes article which stated that no one seems to know whether Blade is an Xbox exclusive or not, Shpeshal_Nick, a known leaker and co-founder of XboxEra, simply said “I do. It is.”

Many fans are confused as to why devs won’t confirm the game’s platform

Since Bethesda was acquired by Microsoft, their games, such as Starfield and Redfall, have been exclusive to Xbox.

It would make sense, therefore, that the same will go for Marvel’s Blade.

One of the most puzzling things about the announcement is that no one on the development team will confirm whether or not the game is going to be an exclusive.

Players are confused as to why this is, with many speaking out on social media to question this.

“Why wouldn't Microsoft simply confirm it? Is this all an experiment? Have they really bought into this "Xbox Tax" nonsense?” asked one.

Another said: “Why on God's earth would they not state it? Madness.”

Some people have speculated it is due to the ongoing FTC case which is attempting to appeal the acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

Whatever Microsoft’s reason for keeping players in the dark is, we can only hope they will tell us soon and confirm once and for all whether the game will be an Xbox exclusive.
