The Marvel universe is taking over the video game industry again in 2025, as in addition to Insomniac's Wolverine title and the potential of more Spider-Man titles, more superheroes are landing.

This time, Marvel has teamed with Skydance New Media to launch a brand-new wartime title into the mix, as Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has been announced.

Captain America and Black Panther are teaming together in Uncharted 1 to 3 Director Amy Hennig's new title coming next year.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra announced with Captain America and Black Panther

On March 20, Marvel announced its latest game in the works named 1943: Rise of Hydra, and released its first trailer.

The trailer depicts Black Panther and Captain Marvel going toe-to-toe against each other, despite having similar causes to uphold justice.

Revealed during an Unreal Engine Showcase at GDC, it looks astoundingly good in motion.

The new Marvel title won't just have you causing chaos with Black Panther (then King T’Chanda, a.k.a Azzuri), and throwing the shield with Captain America though.

Developed in Unreal Engine 5, the game appears to have you take control of two other characters, who do not have otherworldly abilities, as the streets of Paris are set to be upheld by two soldiers - Nanali, leader of the Wakandan Spy Network, and Gabriel Jones, a member of the Howling Commandos.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is targeting a 2025 release, with Skydance calling it a "narrative-driven, ensemble adventure". The game is Skydance New Media's debut title.
