Nintendo has revealed the final wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC characters and tracks set to arrive, and it features some long-time fan favourites including DK Mountain and Bowser Castle 3.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's long-running DLC rollout is finally coming to a close, with one final collection (Wave 6) bringing an additional eight race courses and four characters to the best-selling party racing game.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe final DLC includes some timeless classics
The eight tracks span from SNES classics to Wii favourites and, of course, the recent mobile game Mario Kart Tour. We have a feeling some of you will be very happy to see Gamecube's DK Mountain make a return, too.
Here are all of the tracks included in the final wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC:
- Rainbow Road (Wii)
- Madrid Drive (Tour)
- DK Mountain (Gamecube)
- Daisy Circuit (Wii)
- Piranha Plant Cove (Tour)
- Bowser Castle 3 (SNES)
- Rome Avanti (Tour)
- Rosalina's Ice World (3DS)
Racers will also be able to play as Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, Pauline, and Peachette when they zoom into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as part of this final wave.
Final Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC set for November 9 release
The four characters will be on their marks, and skating off Rainbow Road into oblivion as of November 9, 2023, when Nintendo has confirmed that the DLC will go live.
You can see all of these new tracks in action in the trailer below:
With the addition of Wave 6, there will be a total of 48 DLC tracks and 48 regular tracks in the game, meaning you'll have a whopping 96 racecourses to choose from at your next Switch party.
Between this latest Mario Kart DLC drop, the excellent Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and the upcoming Princess Peach: Showtime game, Nintendo Switch fans are certainly being spoiled right now.
