It shouldn't be too hard, given that Modern Warfare 3 was deemed the worst campaign in Call of Duty history, but Treyarch hopes that Black Ops 6's story will get the title off to a much better start than whatever happened in 2023.

Black Ops 6 revealed elements of its campaign at the worldwide reveal last week, where it was described as a "spy thriller" filled with a mix of stealth missions and run-and-gun action.

At the very least, Black Ops 6 has got one thing going for it already, as it appears the campaign will be longer than MW3.

Black Ops 6 appears to have 16 missions in total

In addition to having some horrid open-combat missions, Modern Warfare 3 suffered inconsequently from having one of the shortest campaigns to date, with 15 missions in total (although some were just a few minutes long).

However, images from the Black Ops 6 campaign suggest that there will be at least one more mission in this year's story, as 16 pins can be visible on a map in the Safehouse.

The reveal detailed the Safehouse, which will return from Black Ops Cold War, albeit with a new setting in an abandoned cliffside manor.

The missions will also likely be much longer than many in Modern Warfare 3, as the developers revealed some really in-depth details about missions within a Casino and "the harsh tundra" of Russia.

Black Ops 6 map indicates a lot of European action

The map does have the majority of its pins in Europe, though, which is surprising given that previous leaks and the Gulf War setting indicated that there would be more action in the Middle East.

Instead, the map seems to pinpoint UK cities like Liverpool and Brighton, northern Spain and Italy, and more central European locations like France, Germany, and possibly Austria.

There are multiple pins in the middle of the ocean, which could mean this was just a placeholder image, or the locations don't actually matter for where we're going.

No matter the location, though, it looks good for Black Ops 6, which aims to right the wrongs of 2023.
