So, the rumours are true. Rockstar Games is officially working on a new era of Grand Theft Auto, with the long-rumoured GTA Trilogy finally official.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition will bring together PS2-era titles, including 2001's GTA III, 2002's Vice City, and 2004's San Andreas. It's not quite the news we hoped for about a GTA 6 launch, but still, it's a good place to start.

When is the GTA Trilogy coming out?

Update: The leaks were correct and the GTA Trilogy launched on 11 November, 2021

According to reputable leaker Tom Henderson, the GTA Trilogy is coming on November 11. We recently covered how speculation was rife that the remastered bundle would land sooner rather than later. Despite whispers it'd be pushed into 2022, Rockstar itself said "coming soon" and then promised we'll visit this automotive adventure before the end of the year.

Henderson doesn't reveal where he's got the inside scoop, but claims it's to do with agencies being given a budget to drum up interest in the trilogy - not that it needs it. Either way, we'd expect to hear more from Rockstar soon.

It's been a full 20 years since we last played GTA III, so we're excited to see how things have changed for Claude. Elsewhere, Vice City and San Andreas also have a special place in our hearts. We're suitably pumped for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. Now, we just need a gameplay trailer.
