Ghost of Tsushima was certainly a surprise, so it's good news that Ghost of Tsushima 2 could officially be on the way.  Though Sucker Punch Productions had proven its worth with the fantastic inFamous series, it was a shock to see the team take on such a massive task with Jin's story in Ghost of Tsushima - the samurai traipse across 1274's Japan.

The open-world title was a huge deal upon release, and again with the repackaging for its Director's Cut. Plus, with a movie in the works from Chad Stahelski, it looks like Jin's story isn't over yet. But fans want a sequel. And luckily for us, it seems more possible than ever.

Is Ghost Of Tsushima 2 Happening?

It looks like Sucker Punch is hard at work on another project, and some minor details have hinted that it could be the long-rumoured Ghost of Tsushima 2. We've been here before with potential hirings, but now, there's more evidence than ever before.

A ResetEra thread has pointed out that new job listings open for Sucker Punch seem to point toward the fact it could be working on a Tsushima follow-up. The team is looking for a Technical Combat Designer and a Senior Combat Designer to work in Washington, asking them to have played previous Sucker Punch games.

Some of the descriptions indicate that these new staff members should have experience "working on gameplay or combat in a 3rd person action game." Sound familiar? Hopes for a second Ghost of Tsushima are higher than ever with these listings, and it's looking more and more likely that it's actually on the way.

Is There A Ghost Of Tsushima 2 Release Date?

As of right now, we don't actually have any information regarding a mythical Ghost of Tsushima 2 release date - so don't get your hopes up for its arrival soon, especially after the team's development of the game's Director's Cut not ending all that long ago.

With no trailer or even a formal announcement, it's probably safe to assume that the next couple of years will be Tsushima-less - perhaps 2025 could be our lucky year, though. The first game was remarkable, so who knows what the team could achieve with a sequel? Either way, we're sharpening our swords with excitement to see it.
