Fortune's Keep is coming back in Warzone Season 2, but just as Rick Grimes looks set to grace the battlefield, it looks like he's bringing the Walking Dead with him.

Grimes, portrayed by Andrew Lincoln in The Walking Dead, has been confirmed to be coming to Call of Duty in February as the major collaboration of Season 2, and having dealt with zombies for the majority of his adulthood, the poor soul doesn't seem to be catching a break.

Ahead of his arrival on the shores of Fortune's Keep, it now seems like the resurgence Warzone map will also pivot to a Zombies playground too, as Easter egg leaks point to infectious corpses on the island.

In the first reveal of Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 which detailed The Walking Dead collaboration, fans were quick to notice that many areas of the trailer included elements of Fortune's Keep.

Of course, this goes hand-in-hand with the map's reintegration to Warzone, but short clips also show hoards of zombies moving through the ruins of the now-destroyed castle, insinuating that this will be a new game mode too.

Other fans also noticed a newspaper clip in the trailer which eluded to a "Hero Officer Returns", followed by the secondary title of "Investigates Mysterious Zombie Nests in Fortune's Keep".

Warzone Season 2 could see Hordepoint return

Already, players have begun speculating whether this will actually be a Zombies resurgence map, but given that its size isn't much bigger than the larger round-based maps like Shi No Numa and Der Eisendrache, it might be more probable that Fortune's Keep might not be your usual undead experience.

Instead, others have begun wondering whether this will finally be Hordepoint's time to return.

This Hardpoint-like mode featured in WWII with the objective of holding certain areas of the map down as Zombies advance and try to push you away, but it hasn't been featured in any game since.

Either way, whether it be Hordepoint or the new DMZ-extraction style, Zombies appear to be taking over the castle in Season 2, and Grimes really has his work cut out for himself this time around.
