With Fortnite Festival championing big musical guests in gaming, even more than the battle royale already did, fans are convinced that NewJeans will be collaborating with Epic Games for a skin range later this year.

Over the years, Fortnite has had one foot firmly planted on the ground for precise aiming, while the other has been tapping away to events starring Lady Gaga, Arianna Grande, and many more.

Now, leakers are claiming that there will be another musical collaboration this December, and a K-pop band will headline.

Fortnite could be lining up a NewJeans collab

According to Fortnite leaker "Jorge Most", Fortnite is hosting a K-pop band collaboration this December and has quickly ruled out the popular Blackpink, much to the dismay of fans.

But other excited K-pop stans are now convinced that NewJeans will be the face of Fortnite this Christmas.

"Newjeans 100%" said a popular comment from a fan, while others continued to echo this claim.

The hitch is that NewJeans have collaborated with another BR before in PUBG Battlegrounds and very few partners often switch between different franchises. The band also has ties to VALORANT, after they appeared at a VCT event last year.

Others hypothesised that it could be Le Sserafim, although they recently collaborated with Overwatch and despite not being a battle royale rival like PUBG, the hero shooter is cut from a similar cloth and would clash with Fortnite more.

Still, a NewJeans collaboration with Fortnite would certainly be one of the most popular musical crossovers yet, with the K-pop group having soared to success in recent years.
