Forget Thanos, there's a new supersized skin that could be on the way to Fortnite, as the battle royale favourite teases a Family Guy crossover. Some 22 years after Peter Griffin first blundered into our lives, is the large and charge family patriarch dropping into the Fortnite map?

As the battle royale genre continues to blossom, Fortnite has the market cornered with crossovers. Yes, Call of Duty: Warzone had John McClane and Rambo, but that's nothing compared to the galaxy of familiar faces that invade the Fortnite battlefield on a weekly basis.

We know Superman is coming to Fortnite before the end of Chapter 2 Season 7, however, he might not be alone.

Why do fans think a Family Guy crossover is coming to Fortnite?

Noted Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR claims they were sent a survey about what crossovers they'd like to see in the future. Reminding fans that a similar survey was sent out about the creepy Guggimon rabbit before he appeared in the Season 7 Battle Pass, we should keep an eye on the shows, games, movies, and characters on the list.

Following rumours that Ariana Grande was on the way turned out to be on the money, there could be more to the list than just throwaway ideas that will never happen. While it's foolish to imagine all of the above will jump off the Battle Bus, it could be a good indication of future collaborations. Namely, a Family Guy crossover in Fortnite could be a big one.

Other huge collaborations include The Lord of the RingsSpongeBob SquarePants, and Transformers. There are more potential popstars with Mariah Carey, DJ Khalid, and Cardi B, while video game crossovers could see Crash BandicootBorderlands, and The Witcher follow Chapter 2 Season 6's Tomb Raider and Horizon collaborations.

Will a Family Guy crossover come to Fortnite?

While we'd usually stick this one in the maybe pile, the idea of Peter Griffin coming to Fortnite was previously teased. A Family Guy and Fortnite crossover was rumoured in February. Although bizarre footage of Peter fighting Ernie the Chicken appeared in the code of Chapter 2 Season 5, it never amounted to anything. Could now be a time for Peter to pop by for a party?

Added to this, Rick Sanchez is part of the Chapter 2 Season 7 Battle Pass. Rick and Peter have similar animation styles, and while these cartoon creations jar against the Fortnite backdrop, it's easy to imagine the Family Guy favourite following in Rick and Morty's footsteps.

Looking at the list, it's interesting that several of those included have already been in Fortnite. Aquaman, Daredevil, Lara Croft, and Kratos have all had their time to shine, so it's unclear why they'd be in the survey again. A Family Guy skin is all well and good, but does Peter Griffin really match up to the potential of a long-awaited Darth Vader skin? Either way, the Force is strong in these rumours.
